We care for all of our Bettas in house and ship directly from our facility to your doorstep, reducing transit and processing times.

ALL LIVESTOCK SALES ARE FINAL. Please be sure prior to purchase as there is a 30% restocking fee for any approved cancellation, no exceptions. While we do our best to be gentle, bagging them up only to remove them again is stressful for fish!

Acclimation

How to transition Betta fish safely

  1. Remove your Betta from the box and place the bag directly in the desired aquarium for 20-30 minutes to allow the water temperature to equalize. Do not open the bag or remove the fish during this process.
  2. After the allotted time is up, gently remove your betta from its bag and place it in the aquarium. You may use a net, but we recommend using a clean hand. Once removed, dispose of the bag and water inside. DO NOT release bag water into your aquarium.
  3. Enjoy your new Betta Fish!

Additional Notes

Betta fish after care

Betta Fish live in tropical climates and warmer waters. If applicable, please ensure you have a submersible heater to keep your fish comfortable and happy. Change 30% of your Betta’s water at least 1-2 times weekly. Use a quality dechlorinator if you are using tap water.

Allow your Betta time to recover! Recovery can take several days and will vary depending on aftercare and tank conditions.

Transit is stressful for all livestock! This may present itself in many ways including, but not limited to:
  • Bottom swimming, hiding
  • Loss of color and appetite
  • Lethargy, quick breathing
  • Fin or tail damage

Important information regarding live arrival guarantee

In the unfortunate event your Betta arrives deceased, please contact us right away with your order number and photos of the fish in the bag. This must be done within 1 hour of delivery as stated on the carrier’s website to be eligible for a replacement or refund. Time stamps will be referenced, no exceptions. Anything beyond this, please contact us and we will do our best to make it right.

If your fish arrives and appears to be severely ill, please contact us immediately with appropriate photos and/or videos. Once a fish has been added to your personal aquarium for an extended period, we are not responsible for sudden deaths or ailments. Please ensure your aquarium is suitable for a Betta Fish and is fully cycled prior to adding your Betta.
