Like most carpeting aquarium plants, Glosso's growth is improved with the addition of CO2 injection, nutrient-dense aquarium soil, and a source of nutrients from aquarium plant fertilizers. Glossostigma Elatinoides may be planted in a low-tech aquarium as well. However, it should be noted that it will take much longer to spread and has the tendency to grow upwards to reach for lighting sources if levels are insufficient.
