Wave Style

The wave style bonsai tree driftwood is a unique piece to add to any planted aquarium tank. Originally inspired by the more recently popular Indonesian aquascapes, this unique bonsai driftwood tree is bound to impress. Its distinct shape is great by itself or as a base to the foundation of a more intricately styled planted aquarium tank. We'd recommend creating a rooted look or a triangular aquascape layout paired with aquatic mosses or the aquatic plants listed!

Bonsai Tree Driftwood for planted aquariums is constructed from various natural aquarium-safe driftwoods. Skilled artisans create each tree by hand, in a wide range of styles and sizes. Bonsai Tree Driftwood is extremely versatile, easy to work with and is a great hardscape choice for an instant aquascape layout.
Ultum Nature Systems Aquarium Driftwood Bonsai Tree
Almost all driftwood is buoyant! Before using Bonsai Tree Driftwood, we recommend soaking the wood for as long as possible prior to adding it into an aquarium. Alternatively, attach it to a dense aquarium hardscape rock temporarily until the wood sinks on its own.

All aquarium driftwood will discolor water. This is normal, harmless and is caused by tannins. Tannins are what give aquarium water a brown or tea colored tint. This can be commonly seen in black water aquariums or biotope aquarium setups. Some hobbyists prefer this look and there are also benefits to having tannins in your water. Some benefits include softer water while also providing an environment that more closely mimics most tropical species environments found in the wild. The color will lighten and dissipate over time with routine water changes and maintenance. If you do not prefer this look, you can remove tannins from your aquarium with this product!
