Aquascaping Tips
How many pounds do I need? For a nice range of shapes and sizes, we use approximately 2LB per gallon of water.

Black Slate is a solid stone that can be used for a variety of aquascaping layouts, creative plant projects and more. This stone features deep black and grey hues with small bits of white striation throughout. Because of Black Slate's flat profile, this multi-purpose project stone is suitable for stacking and layering to create taller structures, caves and more in an aquarium setting. While sturdy, these stones are relatively easy to break apart and can also be used to create paths or accents in the foreground. They also provide the perfect surface for creating moss-covered accent stones. Simply wrap your favorite aquarium mosses around it and place it in the desired location!
