Aquario CO2 Diffusers explained

Aquario Neo CO2 Diffusers are available in a variety of sizes and styles, making it easy to find one that fits your aquascape's needs.

While the model names may seem overwhelming at first, choosing the right diffuser comes down to three simple decisions: disc size, pipe style, and diffuser body.

STEP 1: Disc Size

Aquario Neo CO2 Diffusers come in 4 different sizes. Choose the ceramic disc size based on your aquarium volume.

TINY

Ø8MM
Up to 13 gallon

SMALL

Ø12MM
Up to 26 gallon

MEDIUM

Ø17MM
26 - 53 gallon

LARGE

Ø24MM
53 gallon +

STEP 2: Pipe Style

Next, choose the pipe style that best fits your aquarium and preferred CO2 tubing route. Whether you have a rimmed, rimless, nano, cube or tall aquarium, there is an Aquario CO2 Diffuser that will match your aquarium type and size.

All three pipe styles provide the same CO2 performance—the only difference is how the diffuser installs and where the tubing connects.

What's the difference between an inline and in-tank CO2 diffuser?

In-tank diffusers install inside the aquarium, while inline diffusers connect directly to your filter tubing to keep equipment out of display.

How often should I clean my diffuser?

Ceramic discs need periodic maintenance to maintain fine bubble production. In between deeper cleans, use a soft-bristle to remove any built-up residue!
