Blue Dream Shrimp bring life and beautiful blue color to any planted aquarium. Selectively bred, this Neocaridina shrimp originates from Taiwan and is a popular pick for dwarf aquarium shrimp keepers! They stay relatively small, making them a great choice for nano aquariums or peaceful community tanks. We especially like watching them graze in tanks that have plenty of green aquatic plants. They spend the majority of their day grazing on algae and biofilm that's commonly found on plants or hardscape.

Like other Neocaridinas, they are adaptable but can be sensitive to sudden changes. We recommend adding them to aquariums that are fully cycled and stable. They prefer tropical temperatures and slightly soft water. As with any freshwater setup, a good filter is key for maintaining water quality. Exclusive shrimp keepers enjoy using sponge filters, but if you opt for a canister, consider getting an intake sponge or guard to prevent shrimplets from getting sucked up into the filter.

Tank size recommendation: 5-10G

Shrimp are extremely sensitive to copper. If using tap, be sure to use a dechlorinator to ensure safety for your invertebrates.
Blue Dreams are peaceful. Keep them in an aquarium with non-agressive tank mates to ensure their safety.
