Should you choose to change this plant's growing environment, please allow the plant to acclimate first, then transition slowly and according to each respective plant's care requirements. We encourage minimum humidity levels of 60-70% starting off.

Macodes Petola, more commonly known as the Jewel Orchid, is a very attractive plant that is well-suited for terrariums and other enclosed planted setups. This unique plant features bright golden venation that resembles lightning running across the surface of its leaves. It is one of the few species that is prized for its foliage in comparison to its flowers. This terrarium plant prefers warmer temperatures and increased humidity levels and providing it with optimal conditions will result in better growth and overall health.
Macodes Petola is native to the tropics of Southeast Asia and typically grows quite compact. This makes it a top contender for smaller terrarium setups like the Natura Bioasis M, Aqua Worx Iota or a desktop nano or cube aquarium! When caring for this plant, growing medium should be kept moist but not wet as this may lead to root rot and damage to the plant. We recommend this beauty for anyone interested in starting a terrarium or looking for more plants to add to an existing setup. The Jewel Orchid is fairly forgiving and is tolerant of most standard household conditions.

Live plants are shipped Monday - Friday for all west coast orders. For all remaining states, live plants will only be shipped Monday through Wednesday and Friday to ensure they arrive at your doorstep 100% healthy.

Returns
Hard goods can be returned up to 14 days after receipt of purchase. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
Due to its nature, we are unable to accept returns for live plants. In the unlikely event you are unsatisfied in any way, please contact us ASAP. We provide 100% DOA (Dead On Arrival) protection.
To be eligible for a refund/store credit, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving it and provide a photo of the item in its original packaging.
