OVERVIEW

A fun take on combining traditional Asian flower arrangement, dining ware, and planted aquariums into one house special. Tradition Ikebana has been around for centuries in Japan and was used primarily to display the beauty of flowers. We took this concept and created a dutch style planted aquarium with stem plant species such as Rotala, Ludwigia and a few more that we knew would eventually provide a rainbow of colors and serve as a nice dining table display. Although a smaller aquarium is generally more difficult to balance in a ecological sense, the striking visual created with a "think outside the box" mentality has made this project a very special one.
