Arrived quick and well packed
"Worried because I live in Hawaiii. Arrived well packed. Anubias was fresh and ready for planting!"
Anubias Broad White is an extremely rare aquatic plant variant of the very popular Anubias family. There is still little information known about this particular aquatic plant variant. It is also known by other names such as Anubias White. Because this variant of Anubias is fairly difficult to get and not always readily available, it makes the list of highly sought after aquatic plants for planted tank enthusiasts. Anubias Broad White features beautiful mutations that result in lighter greens to almost completely white, hence the nickname. Anubias Broad White is extremely similar to Anubias Nana Snow White, but the leaves are slightly larger and equally provides an uncommon aesthetic in planted tanks while remaining just as easy to care for as the more common species such as Anubias Nana Petite. With patience and consistent care, this aquatic plant will also produce marbled white leaves that will contrast beautifully amongst other aquatic plant choices.
This aquatic plant is suitable as a midground plant choice. Anubias Broad White will benefit from fertilization and quality light. It is still a slow grower and care should be taken as its leaves are susceptible to algae growth when placed under too high lighting. CO2 is optional, but recommended as it will help encourage faster growth and robust leaves.

Aquarium plants can vary in growth form and may require time to transition to your aquarium environment, whether grown submerged or emersed. This transition period is a natural part of establishing healthy, long-term growth in planted aquariums.
From carpeting plants in the foreground to stem plants and larger species used in the midground or background, each plant offers a unique contribution to a balanced and natural aquascape. As plants adapt, it is normal to see minor changes such as leaf melt, color shifts, or new growth patterns as they settle into their new conditions.
We carefully inspect and prepare all live aquatic plants prior to shipping. While we do our best to minimize hitchhikers, we cannot guarantee plants to be completely pest or snail-free unless tissue culture options are selected.
Because live plants are perishable, some signs of transit stress may occur, including leaf loss or cosmetic damage. These are typically temporary and when when healthy roots are present, most plants will recover with proper care.

Rhizome plants are known for their durability and unique growth structure, making them a popular choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers. Instead of being planted directly into the substrate, these plants grow from a horizontal rhizome that should be attached to hardscape such as driftwood or stone.
Burying the rhizome can lead to rot, so it is best to secure the plant using thread, glue, or by gently wedging it into place. Over time, the roots will naturally attach to the surface as the plant continues to grow and spread.
Rhizome plants are generally slow-growing and require minimal maintenance, making them ideal for low-tech aquariums. Their sturdy leaves and gradual growth provide long-term stability and are often used to create detailed focal points or anchor hardscape within a layout.
Common examples include Anubias, Bucephalandra, and Java Fern, all loved for their resilience and easy care.

Bucephalandra and Anubias self-attached to driftwood
Java Fern 'Trident Mini' wedged in between Malaysian Driftwood after 8 months of growth with CO2 injection
