Ardisia Black is a rare vivarium plant with limited information available regarding its origin and care. Appearance features rounded, tear-drop shaped leaves with coloration being a mixture of dark tones. When placed under LED lighting, Ardisia Black's metallic sheen is apparent, making it a beautiful addition to any vivarium, terrarium or enclosed container garden. As basic guidelines, we recommend providing this rare vivarium plant with sufficient humidity levels and planting it in high-quality sphagnum moss or a mixture of bark and perlite. Sphagnum moss, bark and perlite naturally do not contain any nutritional benefits, so it is essential to ensure this plant is given nutrients periodically. Stunted or deformed growth may signal nutritional deficiencies or the presence of pests. Browning edges may signal insufficient humidity levels.
