Ardisia Black Type 2 is a variation of Ardisia Black. This rare vivarium plant has limited information available regarding its origin and care, but first impressions offer a tropical feel and rich color tones to any setup. The plant has elliptical leaves varying in deep olive, green and reddish-bronze hues. Texture is fleshy and rubbery, emitting a leathery shine when placed under LED lighting. If Ardisia Black Type 2 is similar to its counterparts, this plant will appreciate higher humidity levels and a consistently moist, not soggy, growing medium.
Basic starter guidelines include, but aren't limited to, higher humidity levels and planting in high-quality sphagnum moss or a mixture of bark and perlite. These growing mediums naturally do not contain any nutritional benefits, so it is essential to ensure this plant is given nutrients periodically. Stunted or deformed growth may signal nutritional deficiencies or the presence of pests. Browning edges may signal insufficient humidity levels.

Live plants are shipped Monday - Friday for all west coast orders. For all remaining states, live plants will only be shipped Monday through Wednesday and Friday to ensure they arrive at your doorstep 100% healthy.
