For a nice range of shapes and sizes, we recommend roughly 2 LB per gallon of water.

Build depth and dimension within your aquascape with Black Ridge Stone. Its deep charcoal and earthy hues make it ideal for organic rock formations, while fine reflective flecks create a subtle glimmer across the surface. Adjusting its position under aquarium lighting reveals small highlights, adding understated texture that complements vibrant aquatic plants.

Rugged edges, irregular shapes, and varied stone sizes give Black Ridge Stone plenty of flexibility when creating an aquascape. Layer and stack pieces into rocky slopes and cliff-like formations, use larger stones as focal points, or work smaller pieces between them for natural transitions within the layout.

Each order includes approximately 30LB. Black Ridge Stone is a natural material and photos are representative of the stone. Do not boil and rinse thoroughly with clean water before adding to your aquarium. Loose sediment and debris maybe present.

Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days M-F. However, additional time may be required during peak seasons and federal holidays. For orders containing live plants, we exercise extra caution and assess factors such as travel distance and weather to ensure safe transit.
