Eleocharis Vivipara is similar in foliage texure to the popular carpeting aquarium plant, Eleocharis Parvula aka Hair Grass. Eleocharis Vivipara, sometimes referred to as Umbrella Hair Grass, is a much taller variation of Eleocharis and offers excellent background coverage that will sometimes droop over and create a beautiful effect when it has reached the aquarium's water surface. We recommend this plant in river-style planted aquariums or in nature style aquarium tanks. It offers a semi-chaotic appearance and is extremely natural in any planted tank. A Glass Aqua favorite for background plant choice in a wide range of aquascacpes!

A pressurized CO2 system is not required to grow Eleocharis Vivipara, but will promote quicker, lush growth. Once established, Eleocharis Vivipara is a prolific grower and will happily spread to all areas of an aquarium. To prevent this, regular trimming will be essential in maintaining this plant's growth!
