Design Details
A tapered wedge profile creates four usable edges within a compact 12 × 6 cm (4.72" × 2.36") form factor, allowing both fine detailing and broader substrate adjustments in a single tool.

Constructed from 304 stainless steel, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and long-term reliability for aquarium use. Non-magnetic and precision-made.

"I finally picked up the Glass Aqua 4-Way Flattener for my 60P ADA tank, and it made detailing my Seiryu stone Iwagumi layout so much easier. If you've ever tried working with tight stone gaps, you know how frustrating it is to get the substrate perfectly level without knocking your hardscape out of place. What I love about this tool is the four distinct edges. Most standard sand flatteners only give you two sides, but this design lets you switch between a wide sweep for the foreground and tiny, precise angles. It was perfect for sloping the UNS Controsoil (I used the extra fine black), which can sometimes be tricky to slope evenly because the grains are so lightweight. This tool let me push the soil right up against the base of the Seiryu stones without any spillover. It has a nice weight to it, feels solid in the hand, and didn't scratch my glass at all. It is definitely a huge step up from trying to use a paintbrush or a basic spatula to dial in those clean, steep slopes required for a proper Iwagumi look."
