Hygrophila Siamensis is a beautiful aquarium plant that features greenish bronze foliage. Generally easy to grow, Hygrophila Siamensis is a good choice for beginner hobbyists as this aquatic plant species adapts well to a wide range of water parameters and aquarium sizes. It can be grown submerged or emersed and if given optimal conditions, Hygrophila Siamensis will produce small purple-blue flowers. Although Hygrophila Siamensis is very hardy, this aquatic plant thrives with the addition of quality aquarium lighting and a normal dosing schedule of macro and micronutrients. We recommend using this aquatic plant in the midground or background of any planted tank. It is a fast grower and will easily begin to grow out of the tank, so frequent pruning is necessary to keep its growth structured to preference. Propagation is simple as well. Simply cut off a shoot and replant it into a quality aquarium substrate.
