Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo' is a low growing aquatic plant commonly used in planted aquarium tanks. This listing incluldes a healthy portion of Monte Carlo readily attached to a stainless steel sheet, allowing you to quickly place it in your aquarium securely. It will then eventually anchor itself into the substrate naturally. Monte Carlo is a popular carpeting foreground aquatic plant that is commonly used in Iwagumi aquascape layouts and a variety of other planted tank styles. Known for being an easier carpet plant, Monte Carlo is loved by hobbyists of all skill levels. This aquarium plant is fairly forgiving, will grow in a wider range of aquarium conditions, and can adapt to low-tech planted tank settings. Its appearance is comparable to HC, Hemianthus Callitrichoides, but is slightly larger and less fickle.

It should be noted that it will take much longer to spread when planted in a low-tech aquarium and may stretch upwards if the lighting is insufficient. The addition of CO2 injection, medium to high lighting, and quality aquarium soil will produce a noticeable difference in the growth and appearance of Micranthemum Monte Carlo. Once established, Monte Carlo is a prolific grower and will require periodic trimming.
