READ ME: Our aquarium plants vary in growth forms and will require time to transition to submerged or emersed conditions. We do our best to clean and inspect all plants prior to shipping but do not guarantee them to be snail free unless tissue culture is purchased.
Tissue culture plants are cultivated in sterile lab settings ensuring your plant is free from pests, snails and algae! These are young specimen that are grown in emersed forms. Gel should always be removed prior to planting.
Live plants are susceptible to stress and damage from transit. - This may appear in the form of minimal melt, leaf loss, cosmetic damage, etc. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for plants with viable root systems or that die out of our care.
Microsorum pteropus, commonly known as Java Fern, is a popular aquatic plant in the aquarium hobby due to its ease of care. Java Fern 'Soft Leaf' is a distinctive variety, recognized for its thinner, more delicate leaves. Like other Java Fern variants, it grows well in low to moderate light and adapts well to a wide range of water parameters, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists.
Moderate in size, Java Fern plants fit seamlessly into both nano and larger planted aquariums. For a well-balanced aquascape, we recommend pairing it with classic aquatic plants such as Anubias and Bucephalandra! This aquatic fern can be easily attached to driftwood, aquascaping rocks, or other aquarium decorations using thread or glue. To prevent rot, make sure the rhizome remains above the substrate! Java Fern are also great in open enclosures, terrariums, paludariums and more. Propagation is simple and can be done by separating the rhizomes and reattaching them to a new surface for continued growth.
