Glass Aqua Quick Scapes – Curated, Ready-to-Go Aquascape Layouts

A simple nano aquascape centered around a unique piece of Malaysian Driftwood. The piece includes a natural opening that creates a perfect hideout for a Betta fish or Neocaridina shrimp. Smaller Marsh Stones were placed at the base and are ideal spots to wedge small aquarium rhizome plants such as Anubias nana ‘Petite’ or Bucephalandra ‘Mini Coin’.

In the foreground, dwarf hair grass varieties like Eleocharis parvula ‘Mini’ will add natural texture and soften the layout. Alternatively, a light natural sand with scattered accent pebbles would work well if you enjoy a minimalist scape. In the background, a few bunches of mixed aquatic stem plants can add color and height! Try combining different Rotala species to start!

You’ll find various aquascaping styles ranging from Iwagumi to Nature Style — each scaled perfectly for Ultum Nature Systems rimless aquariums. We created these Quick Scapes for aquascapers who want custom hardscape but aren’t sure where to start. Each layout is designed with flow and depth in mind, giving you a solid foundation to build from and make your own. The pieces you see are what you’ll receive— just reassemble, tweak the layout for sloped substrates or planting maps, and let the creativity flow. With the hardscape design already near completion, all you have to do is pick your aquarium plants and equipment, and voilà!
