Selaginella Erythropus is a beautiful Selaginella species that features green tops and ruby red undersides. It is an easy-going, statement plant for any terrarium or enclosed container garden. We love it for its easy care and interesting texture. This plant also goes by Spike Moss, Red Club Moss and Trailing Moss. Substrate should be kept moist at all times, not overly wet and provided with high humidity level for favorable conditions. Selaginella typically thrives best in warmer climates so keeping its environment above 50F is best for its livelihood. Selaginella does best in bright, indirect light, but will tolerate a wide range of lighting conditions.

The moss arrives as stem cuttings in a pot, which are easy to plant in substrate -- I bought these for my paludarium setup, and put them in the land portion (they are not aquatic plants).
