Tiger Lotus
Bring bold color and dramatic foliage to your planted aquarium with Tiger Lotus (Nymphaea zenkeri). Its broad lilypad-like leaves can develop shades of green, red-brown, pinkish red, and deep maroon with darker spotting, creating a colorful focal point that stands out easily among surrounding aquatic plants.
Tiger Lotus can develop into a substantial plant, sending long stems upward with leaves blooming along the water's surface. Allow them to grow for a more organic appearance, or regularly trim taller growth to encourage the plant to stay fuller and more compact below the surface. If allowed to spread across the surface, its larger leaves may eventually shade plants growing underneath. Give Tiger Lotus plenty of room to develop, particularly in larger planted aquariums where its size and distinctive foliage can become a prominent part of the aquascape.

About Our Live Aquatic Plants
Aquarium plants can vary in growth form and may require time to transition to your aquarium environment, whether grown submerged or emersed. This transition period is a natural part of establishing healthy, long-term growth in planted aquariums.
From carpeting plants in the foreground to stem plants and larger species used in the midground or background, each plant offers a unique contribution to a balanced and natural aquascape. As plants adapt, it is normal to see minor changes such as leaf melt, color shifts, or new growth patterns as they settle into their new conditions.
We carefully inspect and prepare all live aquatic plants prior to shipping. While we do our best to minimize hitchhikers, we cannot guarantee plants to be completely pest or snail-free unless tissue culture options are selected.
Because live plants are perishable, some signs of transit stress may occur, including leaf loss or cosmetic damage. These are typically temporary and when when healthy roots are present, most plants will recover with proper care.

About Our Tissue Culture Plants
Tissue culture aquarium plants are grown in sterile, laboratory conditions, ensuring they are free from pests, algae, and snails. These young plants are cultivated in nutrient-rich gel and are grown in emersed form before being introduced into the aquarium.
Tissue culture plants are best for aquascapers looking for clean, controlled plant material, especially for shrimp tanks or sensitive setups. Before planting, the gel media should be gently removed, and the plant can be divided into smaller portions for planting.
With proper care, tissue culture plants transition quickly and establish into healthy submerged growth.

Tiger lotus!
"I bought 2 tiger lotus plants and received them in only a few days! I Am happy with the amount of Lilly’s the plant had,The tallest stem was about 10”.Unfortunately I had a prune a few Lilly’s from the plant due to leaf damage. I expected the plant to be stressed from being shipped in 100 degree weather. But now the Plants are doing really well. Instead of the green color of the Lilly’s the picture shows mine arrived with red spotted leaves, they complement the greens in my tank and my dwarf Lilly’s plant as well :) i haven't had to much Vertical growth out of the stems yet but I have plenty of new growth coming out of the substrate with healthy Lilly’s. I think its due to my tanks high lighting."

"Easy and pretty!"
Beautiful, healthy plants!
"The tiger lotus I ordered from Glass Aqua arrived looking beautiful and healthy, and they are now swaying gently in the current of my 180g tank. In my experience, great plants that enhance your tank on day one are not a given, but Glass Aqua comes through, and I would recommend them as a reliable plant source."
