"I use this as a filter in a little 6 gallon tank and it works perfectly. It’s also very easy to move so I swap it into my larger tanks every so often to clear up any surface film. Runs quiet but if you’re concerned, a very small piece of sponge tucked behind the skimmer will absorb any vibration and keep it even quieter. Great purchase for how cheap it is."

"This is a great little unit. It's almost silent when setup properly and clears the surface really quickly. I dont leave it in all the time. I put it in about once a week overnight and then take it out. That's only because of how small the tank is though. It really gets the surface moving and can clear it off pretty quickly."
