Bucephalandra is a popular genus of plants in the aquarium hobby. Bucephalandra come in a wide variety of sizes and colors, and are well-known for being fairly adaptable in aquarium settings. Bucephalandra are epiphytic aroids and grow well when attached to aquarium hardscape. They may also be grown on substrate as long as the rhizome is not buried. As mentioned, Bucephalandra are very adaptable and will tolerate a wide range of lighting spectrums and aquarium conditions. This particular listing offers a hand-crafted Bonsai Tree with a mixture of small-leafed buce readily attached.
Bucephalandra are flexible and easy to care for. While it isn't required, we recommend providing Bucephalandra with CO2 injection to improve health and really bring out the iridescent colors Buce are known for. If kept in a tank without CO2, good maintenance habits will go a long way in preventing algae growth on leaves. Cooler water is preferable along with good flow as well. When ready for propagation, this plant's rhizome can be split and reattached elsewhere.
