IMPORTANT: Our aquarium plants may vary in growth forms. Because of this, please understand how to properly transition and acclimate plant(s) into desired form(s). We do our best to thoroughly clean and inspect all plants prior to shipment but cannot guarantee lead bunch or potted plants to be free from snails and/or algae. Not your thing? Please consider purchasing tissue culture aquarium plants!

Tissue culture plants are cultivated in sterile lab settings ensuring your plant is free from pests, snails and algae! These are young specimen that are grown in emersed forms. Gel should always be removed prior to planting.

LIVE PLANTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO STRESS AND DAMAGE FROM TRANSIT - This may appear in the form of minimal melt, leaf loss, cosmetic damage, etc. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for plants with viable root systems or that die out of our care.

Bucephalandra Mini Coin is a popular, relatively rare variation of Bucephalandra. At first glance, Buce Mini Coin offers tiny foliage that doesn't grow larger than 0.5 inches. Like other species of Bucephalandra, Mini Coin is capable of producing a myriad of hues that are dependent on aquarium conditions. Given its small blueprint, Bucephalandra Mini Coin is highly suitable for nano planted aquariums or any layout that demands small details. It is a very ornamental aquatic plant and is relatively hardy, making it a loved favorite amongst Bucephalandra collectors and enthusiasts. Bucephalandra Mini Coin is an epiphyte and can be grown in the cracks or crevices of your aquarium hardscape and while uncommon, it has been grown as a carpet as well. Time and patience are essential when growing Bucephalandra Mini Coin as this genus is known for being slow growing!

Bucephalandra does best in low to medium lighting and will grow nice and dense if favorable conditions are provided. CO2 injection along with good flow and regular tank maintenance will promote quicker, more robust growth. The stem and rhizome should not be covered when planting as this will cause the plant to rot and wither. Care is comparable to other popular aquatic plant species such as Anubias and Java Ferns, but it should be noted that Bucephalandra will not tolerate sudden changes well.
