Please ensure you are familiar with general terrarium plant care as well as quarantine practices and rehab care. Should you choose to change this plant's growing environment, please allow the plant to acclimate first, then transition slowly and according to each respective plant's care requirements. Episcias are beautiful plants belonging to the Gesneriad family. They have a stoloniferous growth pattern and produce plantlets along the length of its runners. Episcia Cupreata is a classic form of Episcia and features beautiful, bold coloration. Episcia make a great vining choice in terrariums or terrarium-like container gardens. Like most terrarium suitable species, Episcia Cupreata thrives in higher humidity levels and prefer partial shade but will tolerate bright, indirect lighting sources. Direct bright light, or direct sunlight will dry and damage this plant. Signs of insufficient humidity levels will appear in the form of crisping or browning leaf edges. Normal pruning will be necessary to keep the plant in tip top shape as Episcia has the tendency to grow over itself and will result in a mangled appearance if not tended to.
Episcia Cupreata is NOT an aquarium plant. Submerging this plant in an aquarium will kill it!
