A relatively new aquarium hardscape wood, Black Forest Spider Wood is characterized by its signature dark, charcoal brown hue. This unique feature sets it apart from other aquascaping driftwoods such as normal Spider Wood which is lighter in color and only becomes brown in color once waterlogged. Black Forest Spider Wood, however, will become darker and darker as time passes. As a result, this bold aquarium wood provides a much darker-toned and mysterious planted aquarium atmosphere along with beautiful contrast against boldly colored aquatic plants. In addition, this Spider Wood releases a minimal amount of tannins that would otherwise tint aquarium water for a longer period of time.
Wild twists and turns along with knots define this aquarium wood. Its natural root-like look is commonly sought after by enthusiasts. Black Forest Spider Wood works well on its own as a centerpiece or when complemented with smaller stones at the base of any scape.

Provided measurements are rough estimates. This driftwood is 100% natural - Dimensions may vary +/- a few inches and should be used as overall guidelines.

TIP 1: Usually sinks on its own in 2 weeks time
TIP 2: Tannins leeched from wood will provide a natural tint to water, but will gradually dissipate based on the frequency of water changes

Live plants are shipped Monday - Friday for all west coast orders. For all remaining states, live plants will only be shipped Monday through Wednesday and Friday to ensure they arrive at your doorstep 100% healthy.
Rimless aquariums will be shipped throughout the week via UPS or Fedex Ground. For more information, please visit our FAQ page.
Returns
Hard goods can be returned up to 14 days after receipt of purchase. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.
Due to its nature, we are unable to accept returns for live plants. In the unlikely event you are unsatisfied in any way, please contact us ASAP. We provide 100% DOA (Dead On Arrival) protection.
To be eligible for a refund/store credit, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving it and provide a photo of the item in its original packaging.
