OVERVIEW

A slightly more complex take on a classic Iwagumi style aquascape. Rather than utilizing minimal amounts of Icelandic Lava Stone, we chose to use more than usual to create a much more dynamic layout in a smaller aquarium. Our use of two larger main stones while accenting them with multiple medium and smaller sized stones, we were able to create depth and the appearance of being "larger than life". The main inspiration for this Iwagumi layout stemmed from prehistoric geography and volcanic islands from the Pacific. Our aquarium plant choices also reflect this by planting aquatic plants such as Pogostemon Helferi Downoi and Hygrophila Pinnatifida which will provide a tropical look and feel once grown out.
