READ ME: Our aquarium plants vary in growth forms and will require time to transition to submerged or emersed conditions. We do our best to clean and inspect all plants prior to shipping but do not guarantee them to be snail free unless tissue culture is purchased.
Tissue culture plants are cultivated in sterile lab settings ensuring your plant is free from pests, snails and algae! These are young specimen that are grown in emersed forms. Gel should always be removed prior to planting.
Live plants are susceptible to stress and damage from transit. - This may appear in the form of minimal melt, leaf loss, cosmetic damage, etc. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for plants with viable root systems or that die out of our care.

Bucephalandra Dark Skeleton King, also known as Bucephalandra Dark Achilles, is a beautiful species in the Bucephalandra family. Boasting large foliage and rich coloration, Bucephalandra Dark Skeleton King's leaves feature a distinct pattern on its leaves that earns its name. Like all Bucephalandra species, Buce Dark Skeleton King has a hardy nature and is fairly adaptable to a wide range of aquarium tank parameters. It can be grown submerged or emersed and grows exceptionally well in low-tech conditions without lacking in unique character.
Under optimal conditions, this Buce plant will develop an extremely dark contrasty mix of greens, blues, and purple hues. Bucephalandra Dark Skeleton King's care is comparable to that of Anubias species and while it grows slowly, if given proper care, patience will be generously rewarded. Buce Dark Skeleton King is a good choice for beginner aquarists and also provides refuge for smaller freshwater aquarium tank inhabitants such as smaller shrimp or fry. Bucephalandra can also be used in many ways and does not require being planted in aquarium tank substrate.
