Cryptocoryne Sri Lanka is a relatively uncommon aquarium plant in the Cryptocoryne family that can provide good coverage for fish and shrimp in planted tanks. Its foliage is long and droopy, but with good flow, can add extra movement and interest in freshwater aquariums. We consider it to be medium in size, making it a good low light plant for tanks over 10 gallons. With consistent and patient care, its leaves will deepen in color and contrast nicely with its burgundy stalk. Like others in this family, plant it and try not to move or propagate it until it's established.

Make sure you're using a good aquarium light, CO2 injection and nutrient rich aquarium soil or a liquid plant fertilizer for healthy growth. Patience is key with Cryptocoryne plants! If you're looking for a unique addition to your planted tank, consider giving this one a try.
