The Dymax White Wool filter pad is made from quality material that performs both mechanical and biological filtration. This filter pad will remove larger pieces of debris from the water column while providing surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. This white wool pad can be used in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums and is easy to clean by gently rinsing it in aquarium water during routine maintenance.
