Ludwigia glandulosa, also known as Diamond Ludwigia, is a less common species that offers intense, vibrant color — perfect for aquarists who want magenta, purple, red, or pink aquarium stem plants. Its coloration is unique, with green tops and richly colored undersides. The oval, pointed leaves grow in opposite pairs along the stem which may also vary in color depending on the tank's condition.

This aquatic stem plant is especially attractive when planted in generous groups, adding bold color and texture to any planted tank. We recommend it for hobbyists who appreciate large, colorful plants — ideal for Dutch-style tanks or spacious nature-style aquascapes. To achieve its most vivid colors, provide high lighting, CO2, and a balanced source of micro and macronutrients. Propagation is simple: cut healthy stems from the main plant and replant them in quality aquasoil.
