Glass Aqua Quick Scapes – Curated, Readymade Aquascape Layouts

A balanced wood and rock layout designed for a nano cube tank. This scape offers a strong start for a nature aquarium style planted tank. Since nano aquariums typically require less maintenance, it’s a great opportunity to grow colorful aquatic stem plants within a manageable system.

For the foreground, we recommend compact carpeting plants like Helianthus callitrichoides ‘Cuba’ or its less demanding cousin, Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo’. In the midground, Hydrocotyle tripartita is a perfect transitional plant and would bring bright green, bushy growth. Tuck in some classics like Anubias nana ‘Petite’ or the even smaller Anubias ‘Chili’ for extra texture and tie it all together with stem plants in the background. An assortment of plants like Rotala wayanad, Ludwigia arcuata, Bacopa australis, Myriophyllum guyana and Micranthemum micranthemoides (Pearlweed) will add life, color and texture!

We created these Quick Scapes for aquascapers who want custom hardscape but aren’t sure where to start. Each layout is designed with flow and depth in mind, giving you a solid foundation to build from and make your own. The pieces you see are what you’ll receive— just reassemble, tweak the layout for sloped substrates or planting maps, and let the creativity flow. With the hardscape design already near completion, all you have to do is pick your aquarium plants and equipment, and voilà!
