Fire Red Shrimp are arguably one of the most popular freshwater shrimp in the planted aquarium hobby. Cross-bred with the classic Cherry Shrimp, Fire Red Caridina Shrimp feature bright red tones that pop beautifully in the planted tank. These tiny critters are fairly hardy and great for beginner hobbyists looking to add life to their aquariums. They are relatively easy to find, affordable and don't require extensive care when compared to some of the more sensitive species. Caridina Shrimp are great for assistance in cleaning up waste and this particular variety is fairly active providing visual interest in the aquarium. They will readily breed in most aquarium settings and will tolerate a wider range of aquarium parameters. A fantastic choice for the beginner shrimp keeper! Fire Red shrimp are peaceful and should be housed with non-agressive tank mates to ensure their safety!

Shrimp are extremely sensitive to copper. If using tap, be sure to use a dechlorinator to ensure safety for your invertebrates.
