The Twinstar Algae Inhibitor effectively reduces the growth of common algae, such as green algae and more, in planted aquariums. Safe for aquarium plants, freshwater fish, shrimp, and beneficial bacteria, the device works silently without disrupting balance or affecting life in the tank. It eliminates spores in their early stages, ultimately preventing further development before algae becomes visible to the eye.

With algae growth reduced, aquatic plants take center stage. They are able to photosynthesize more efficiently and absorb nutrients, resulting in stronger, healthier growth that naturally outcompetes algae in the water column. Dense plant growth offers several benefits—not only is it rewarding to see plants thrive, but it also increases oxygen levels, supporting overall aquarium balance and health. For best results, we recommend installing this device during the setup of a new aquarium, when algae is non-existent, for a boosted jumpstart.
