Iguazu is a low-tech nano planted aquarium built around simplicity. A single mound of Black Ridge Stone creates the base of the layout, with a single Amazon Sword plant (Iguazu) nestled in the center and a few groups of Bucephalandra tucked in throughout.

Rather than relying on a traditional aquarium light, CO2 injection, or full filtration system, Iguazu uses natural light and a surface skimmer for gentle water movement and surface agitation. The simple setup allows slower-growing, low-light aquatic plants to develop naturally with minimal equipment.

Iguazu demonstrates that a planted aquarium doesn’t need a complicated setup to create a healthy, natural display. With a little patience, even a small low-tech aquarium can bring a little piece of nature indoors.
