TIMBER!
TIMBER! is a forest-inspired planted aquarium built in the Ultum Nature Systems 60S 10-gallon shallow tank. What happens when aquascaping, creativity, and a bit of good ol’ DIY come together? This layout is our answer.
Using Log Wood and Grey River Slate Stone, we created a hardscape-focused design that emphasizes texture, depth, and natural flow. Each piece was carefully selected and positioned to build layers within the shallow footprint, giving the aquascape a grounded, woodland feel while still maintaining openness and balance.
This was one of those builds where we had the freedom to experiment, adjust, and enjoy the process—resulting in a planted aquarium that feels both structured and organic, with a strong emphasis on the character of the materials used.
