River Pass is a nano planted aquarium home to a colony of Neocaridina Blue Dream shrimp. Nestled in the Ultum Nature Systems 30A All-In-One rimless tank, we aimed to create a densely planted aquascape while also showcasing the functionality and convenience of an AIO aquarium.

All-in-one tanks provide a clean canvas for aquascaping and are incredibly convenient thanks to their integrated filtration systems. These aquariums reduce visual clutter, maintain a minimalist aesthetic, and make routine maintenance more approachable. We paired Pacific Wood with Icelandic Lava Stone to form a sloped hardscape layout, then selected a variety of aquatic plants based on size and growth style.

We finished the layout by attaching Fissidens fontanus to the wood in scattered areas, which eventually fluffed out to provide additional coverage and grazing surfaces for shrimp and other microfauna. Overall, AIO aquariums are excellent for limited spaces and planted tanks of all styles.
